Jenny Freeman is the Program Coordinator for the Geosynthetic Institute at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to joining GSI, Jenny worked as a Faculty Support Coordinator for the Geosystems Engineering group in the School of Civil & Environmental Engineering for eight years. Before coming to Georgia Tech, she worked as a legal assistant in Atlanta for ten years. Jenny has a Master of Arts in English from the University of Georgia and Bachelor of Arts in English from Valdosta State University. She was the recipient of the CEE Administrative Support Excellence Award in 2019 and 2022 and the College of Engineering Culture Champion Award in 2022. Academic conferences she has coordinated at Georgia Tech include the annual George F. Sowers Symposium (2018-2026), the Engineering Mechanics Institute Conference (2023), the National Hydraulics Engineering Conference for GDOT (2022), and the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering Symposium (2018). Jenny has previously worked with the Center for Bio-mediated and Bio-inspired Geotechnics (CBBG) and the Geotechnical Extreme Events Reconnaissance (GEER) Association as an administrative liaison for Georgia Tech.
